    Kick-off meeting in Lübeck

    Start: Thursday 6th November 2014 at 9:15
Location: Universität zu Lübeck, Insitut für Mathematik, Gebäude 64, 3. floor, room R73
    Organizers: Wolfgang Erb

The kick-off meeting of this network takes place at the Universität zu Lübeck on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th November 2014. The primary purpose of this meeting is to bring together all group members in order to stimulate discussion and to initiate the project. All members give short presentations on their research relevant to the project. The plenary talk is given by Prof. T. M. Buzug, a principal member of this network and one of the leading experts in MPI.

    1. Study group in Munich

    Start: Monday 9th February 2014 at 9:00
Location: Helmholtz Center Munich, Institute of Computational Biology, Gebäude 58a, room 121
Organizers: Christina Brandt, Jürgen Frikel, Andreas Weinmann

The second meeting of the network takes place at the Helmholtz Center Munich from Monday 9th till Wednesday 11th February 2015. It is organized in form of a study group. According to the usual format of study groups, practically relevant problems are presented at the beginning of each section. After splitting up the problems, the related modeling, analysis and algorithmic aspects are discussed in small working sessions. At the end of the study group, the obtained results and further research directions are discussed.

    2. Study group at Bruker Biospin

    Start: Wednesday 10th June 2015 at 14:00
    Location: Bruker Biospin GmbH, Ettlingen
    Organizers: Alexander Weber

The third meeting of the network takes place at the Bruker Biospin GmbH in Ettlingen from Wednesday 10th till Friday 12th June 2015. It is organized in form of a second study group.

Minisymposium at the annual meeting of the DMV 2015 in Hamburg

    Start: Tuesday 22th September 2015 at 10:30
    Location: University of Hamburg
    Organizers: Wolfgang Erb, Andreas Weinmann

We organize a Minisymposium with the title "Mathematical Methods For Magnetic Particle Imaging" at the annual meeting of the DMV in Hamburg from 22-23. September 2015

The program of the Minisymposium #18 "Mathematical Methods for Magnetic Particle Imaging" and the list of speakers can be found at the homepage of the DMV . A pdf file of the program is also linked here

Workshop at the UKE in Hamburg

    Start: Thursday 24th September 2015 at 9:00
    Location: UKE Hamburg
Organizers: Martin Hofmann, Tobias Knopp, Wolfgang Erb

In addition to the Minisymposium on "Mathematical Methods For Magnetic Particle Imaging" at the annual meeting of the DMV, we organize a workshop on Magnetic Particle Imaging, where further topics on mathematical problems in MPI are discussed. This workshop takes place at the UKE Hamburg from 24-25. September 2015

International Workshop on Mathematical Imaging and Emerging Modalities in Osnabrück

    Start: Monday 27th Juni 2016 at 8:45
Location: Botanical garden of the University of Osnabrück
Organizers: Christina Brandt, Wolfgang Erb, Stefan Kunis, Andreas Weinmann

The goal of this final workshop of the network is to bring together experts from mathematical imaging as well as practitioners to discuss about recent developments and the emerging mathematical problems in this field. Special attention is given to the imaging modalities Magnetic Particle Imaging and Fluorescence Microscopy as well as to superresolution. Further topics of this workshop include the modeling and the mathematical analysis of imaging modalities, efficient numerical algorithms for simulation and reconstruction as well as image processing steps like segmentation, sparse representation, registration and compression of images. This workshop takes place at the University of Osnabrück from 27-30 June 2016 and is organized together with Prof. S. Kunis.
